Events

Every year, TFM hosts several free events in Manito Park. From our summer Art Festival to our annual Plant Sales to the community celebration of Holiday Lights, we produce events that celebrate our Park and our community. You can learn more about TFM’s main annual events below.

Art Festival

The Manito Park Art Festival showcases the work of our wonderful community of local makers and artists. Held on a Saturday in June on the meadow east of Duncan Garden, the Art Festival features the work of dozens of artists, along with live music, food trucks and kids activities. Attendance is free and everyone is welcome!

Holiday Lights

One of Spokane’s most treasured traditions, Holiday Lights transforms the Park into a twinkling, magical celebration of the holidays, with over 30,000 lights and whimsical displays. An event for all ages, Holiday Lights offers both drive-through and walk-through nights and draws thousands of visitors to the Park every December.

Plant Sales

Our annual plant sales are a combination community event, pop-up nursery and master class in the care of perennials that thrive in our region. Held on a Saturday in late spring and early fall, our sales are fundraisers for the Park and an opportunity for everyone from the seasoned green thumb to the brand-new gardener to buy plants and get expert advice. All of the plants we sell (except for house plants) are perennials proven to thrive in our climate.

Education Programs

We offer a variety of lectures for adults and learning opportunities for children focused on the enjoyment and exploration of nature. Whether you are 8 or 88, you are sure to find a topic of interest in our annual offerings. All of our education programs are free and open to the public.

Plant Sale Volunteer Days

Help prepare the plants we sell at the plant sales on Wednesdays from 9 AM to 12 PM in the fenced area east of The Gaiser Conservatory, 2016 S. Tekoa Street.
