2010 Volunteer Planting Schedule

Our regular sessions begin Monday, March 22nd at 9:00 a.m. (from 9:00 a.m. until noon) and continue through summer until September 1st, the Wednesday after the fall plant sale. Depending on the amount of work needed to do, some weeks we will work an extra day. During planting sessions, we break at 10:30 am for delicious snacks, drawing of prizes, great conversation, and education about the new plants that will be available at our plant sales.

We welcome you to join us anytime. No horticulture knowledge is needed.

Most importantly, our efforts nurturing and preparing plants for purchase, raise money to help Manito Park with improvements and maintenance. In fact, the Friends of Manito has raised over $450,000 which we have been able to donate to this award winning park.

If you would like to join this fun and enthusiastic group, please call the Friends of Manito office at 509-456-8038 or just show up at a Monday or Wednesday session. We would love to have you. Of course you are not committing to be there at each and every session, but we think you will want to be.
