Volunteer Opportunities

Planting sessions: Planting sessions are on  Monday and Wednesday mornings from 9:00 to 12:00.  We meet in the “lath area” adjacent to the employee parking lot just east of Gaiser Conservatory.  Please park on Tekoa.  You may want to bring some garden gloves and maybe some snipers. Volunteer activities involve providing soil for transplanting, transplanting plants into larger pots, grooming plants, moving plants into correct locations, and labeling plants for sale.

Daily Watering:  Volunteers needed for the summer growing season.  Contact Kathy or Linda at teamH2O@thefriendsofmanito.org for more information

Plant sales: Many needs

Children’s Renaissance Faire: Supervise an activity for four hours, also setup and cleanup.

Board of Director’s support: usually requires computer skills.

Each year we honor one of our volunteers who contributes in the most outstanding way.                Click here to see our past volunteers of the year
