Who are The Friends of Manito?

The Friends of Manito is a non-profit group that supports Manito Park by providing funds to improve the park. Since 1990, the group has raised over $700,000 funding over 60 projects, including the lower playground equipment, the Duncan Garden gazebo, the Rose Garden pergolas, the upper park sprinkler system, the "Walk of Hope" sidewalk, and most of the park sign-age to name a few.

The funds are raised through major plant sales. They include the
Garden Expo at the Spokane Community College (May 9, 2015) sponsored by The Inland Empire Garderners ,
Spring Plant Sale
(June 6, 2015), and the Fall Plant Sale
(August 29, 2015)

Approximately 100 volunteers work from February to September to prepare and host these events. We love our volunteers and we thank them for making Manito Park a city jewel.
