Garden Expo

Spokane Community College Lawn

The Friends of Manito booth at Garden Expo will be packed with a selection of beautiful flowering plants as well as mixed containers, and fabulous foliage plants.  There will be cacti and succulents in clever containers, fairy gardens, heart-shaped topiaries, home décor and garden art. 

Some of the flowering bulbs that we will have for sale are spectacular ornamental onions, majestic red and yellow crown imperials, and tender iron cross shamrocks.  There will also be a large selection of begonias, cannas, coleus and caladiums. 

We will be offering beautiful mixed containers with colorful foliage, checkerboard hibiscus, shrimp plant, and geraniums.  Some of the foliage plants that we will be selling are asparagus ferns, ficus, rubber plants, philodendron, bananas, piggy back, swedish ivy, spider plants, and needle point ivy.

Come and visit our booth and take home a Mother’s Day gift.

We’ve got what you are looking for! Whether it’s pollinator plants, butterfly host plants, drought tolerant, deer resistant, edible, sun or shade, rain garden plants, ornamental grasses, shrubs, vines, zone 4 hardy plants and tropical plants, we will have lots to choose from! Find plants not found anywhere else in town. We’ve even got garden art for an unusual garden focal point.

  • Personal Potters will pot up a pollinator garden or any plants of your choosing.  They will also be helping customers plant their own fairy hypertufa gardens.

View bees up close in an observation hive.

Hold live moths and cocoons.
The Nature Smith will display these and other fascinating preserved insects.

See magnified insect wings projected onto a screen.

Purchase caterpillar host plants and nectar plants.
