Garden Discovery Program for Kids Session 2

August 15, 2017 @ 10:00 AM - 11:30 PM

More Pondering Pollinators!

Why are flowers colorful? How does a flower make seeds? Why is a bumble bee fuzzy?

Bring your child to the park and discover the wonder of flowers and the creatures that pollinate them!

The Garden Discovery program will feature an interactive guided tour and a pollinator craft activity. It is designed for children ages 5 to 8 accompanied by a parent or guardian. We will have a blast searching for bees and butterflies, smelling the flowers, and playing a game in the garden. Your child will also receive a special plant to help the pollinators in your garden at home.

This program will take place from 10 am-11:30 am, August 8th and August 15th

Both sessions are now full.  If you would like to be on our waiting list, please register for one of the dates by filling out our form HERE.  We will call you if there is an opening.

Please meet us in front of the office buildings located next to the Ferris Perennial Garden.  Parking is available next to the Ferris Perennial Garden, in front of the Gaiser Conservatory or south of the Rose Garden.

This activity is open to the public and is sponsored by The Friends of Manito. There is no charge to participants.
