Dehydrating Food – Anna Kastell

Whether you grow your own food; buy it locally from farmers’ markets or farm stands, or even buy from a regular supermarket; seasonality affects the price and abundance of produce. It just makes sense to take advantage of produce when it is in season and preserve it for times when it is not. Drying foods is one way to do this. The list of summer’s harvest which can be dried includes fruits, vegetables, and herbs. Come and learn how to dehydrate your produce.
